Baltimore Anime Denizens (B•A•D) is a social club based in Baltimore, Maryland that champions Japanese media and culture through regular events, such as anime screenings, DJ nights, meetups, and more. Events and topics of interest are regularly posted on Facebook via the official page and group.
Baltimore Japan Art Festival (BJAF) is an annual event that showcases Japanese culture through traditional and contemporary art, film, music and food. BJAF is committed to promoting Japanese culture by providing a platform for creative ideas and engaging topics that reflect current trends & traditional arts in Japan.
The inaugural event took place April 5-7, 2017 across three venues in the Station North Arts District of Baltimore, Maryland. The festival featured performance artists & speakers from Japan and the U.S., food & beverage tastings, and was also a screening location for the New York Japan CineFest (NYJCF).
In 2018, BJAF welcomed acclaimed Japanese illustrator Yusuke Nakamura to host a lecture and curate his first US exhibition at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).

Rob & Darrell have been drinking and studying Ryokucha (Japanese green tea) for nearly 20 years. They like to share this expert knowledge through events and workshops where the tea-curious can learn the ins and outs of Japanese green tea history, cultivation, preparation, and acquisition.

They continue to make annual appearances at Japanese culture-centric events primarily along the East Coast, and are available to host workshops for private functions as well.
